Woodbaby Phoenix Socrates by Dream-finder Woodbaby Phoenix Socrates by Dream-finder
This is my wonderful phoenix Socrates. He was the very first one made by Bob the creator of the woodbabies. This was my sixth woodbaby from The Midsummer Knights Dream. When you twist the cable in back, it will make his head move around.

I heard about these woodbabys a few weeks ago, but then realized they were puppets. O_o where do you order one? :?

You can order them at: [link]
Bob is the creator and head sculptor of the woodbabies and can make just about anything within reason. You can customise them and even have one done from a sketch or just an idea you have. My Chinese dragon Confucius was done from a sketch that I gave to him along with the basic idea I had for the body.
I love the dragons that you create, they are so awesome looking! I'm going to have to get one someday real soon. :)

Aww thank you very much! Wow they sounds fun! I had heard about them because people were asking if what I created were Woodbabys and I had no clue what they were talking about. :D I looked on Utube today and realized they were very popular puppets and had some realistic movement as well. Then I realized why so many people liked them! :wow: When and how did you hear about them? :?

I first found out about the woodbabies at my local ren fair back in 1998. They had a little booth set up and I fell in love with the dragons. I made sure to save up my money so I could adopt one the next time the ren fair came. My first woodbaby was my black and gold dragon Dreamfinder who remains my favorite to this day. :)

Wow! I would love to go to a Ren Fair! I would like to buy a woodbaby and try out the movement they have, I went to the adoption center on the sight you linked and sent an email to the only address that I could find on that one page, I haven’t heard anything back yet so I'm not sure I did the contact thing right, lol have you ordered them online before? :?

No, I haven't ordered online using their order form. But I have called the phone number and talked directly to them to place an order. Then again, I have adopted many from them before so they know me.
They do not work on the weekends. So if you do not hear from them in a week, send them another email or call them during their business hours.
